Lisa D. Grunebaum, MD

Dr. Grunebaum is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in the field of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.   She graduated at the top of her class from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, where she also elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.   As a respected member of the Jefferson community, she went on to complete her residency in Otolarynology/Head & Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. 

Dr. Grunebaum completed a highly competitive fellowship in facial plastic surgery at the University of Miami, where she remained on faculty for 15 years.   A committed educator and researcher as well as clinician, she subsequently joined the faculty of the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, where she most recently served as an Associate Chair for Research.

Dr Grunebaum is an internationally recognized lecturer in the field of minimally invasive approaches to rejuvenation and beauty.    She is committed to advancing safety and innovation in minimally invasive cosmetic procedures and is also a prominent researcher in cosmetic medicine as the principal investigator for multiple FDA phase 2 and phase 3 trials, leading to approval for new products and new indications.  Dr. Grunebaum has authored many landmark peer-reviewed articles on the topics of dermal fillers, neuromodulators and aesthetic lasers. Dr. Grunebaum may soon be expanding her services to include in-clinic blepharoplasties and lip lifts. Stay tuned for updates!

Dr. Grunebaum encourages a multi-layered, gradual and natural approach to treating beauty and aging.  She listens carefully to concerns and offers consultations with options such as evidence-based skin care, laser treatments, dermal fillers, neuromodulators, and possible surgery.   She has a special interest in regenerative cosmetic medicine and the treatment of peri-menopausal and menopausal women.

An expert in all areas of facial surgery, she always tries to find the least invasive ways to achieve personal goals.   She performs in-office cosmetic facial surgery including upper lid rejuvenation, facial liposculpture and neck banding improvement. 

Dr Grunebaum also has a vast experience in facelifting, rhinoplasty and skin cancer reconstruction.

Dr Grunebaum has volunteered in Haiti for post hurricane medical disaster relief and Ethiopia, where she taught new skills in facial plastic surgery to Ethiopian physicians.  She is an avid outdoor explorer and enjoys hiking and remote trekking.   Most of all, she cherishes her time at home with her two mini-dachshunds.
