JAMES B YOUNG, DO

Dr. James B Young, DO is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Young is one of the few fellowship trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeons in the Phoenix valley. He also has a passion for all areas of dermatology and strives to help his patients have the healthiest skin possible.
He is a graduate of Brigham Young University, and attended medical school at Touro University Nevada. He then completed residency at St. Joseph Mercy-Michigan State University Dermatology Residency based in Ann Arbor, MI, and an additional fellowship there in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery, under the direction of Dr. Kent Krach, MD.
In his training, Dr. Young received extensive exposure to general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, including rotations in cutaneous surgery in Melbourne, Australia and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. With an undergraduate degree in art, he enjoys the visual and aesthetic nature of dermatology, as well as the manual detail of cutaneous surgery. Outside of the office, he can be found running/biking and spending time with his wife and five children.
